**step 1 - have an iphone 15 pro, and take a spatial video.** there are existing tutorial for this. you need to turn on the setting, and you need to enable the spatial option when taking the video. you'll know you've succeeded if your photos app shows a "spatial" folder that apple automatically created (down next to the "screenshots" folder) and your video is in it. **step 2 - convert using spatialify.** in spatialify, use **batch export**, and use the setting "full side-by-side", and keep "horizontal disparity adjustment" set to on. **step 3 - airdrop to mac.** then airdrop that video to your mac. (it'll probably show up as an mp4 file that has a bunch of numbers and ends with ```_FSBS.mp4```) **step 4 - add metadata so youtube recognizes it as 3d.** rename it to "spatial_utils_input_video.mp4" then open terminal (on mac) or command line (on windows) change directory into the directory that contains your video. (get chatgpt's help with this if you don't know how) then type the below command into the terminal ``` ffmpeg -i spatial_utils_input_video.mp4 -aspect 16:9 -c copy -metadata:s:v:0 stereo_mode=1 spatial_utils_output_video.mkv ``` **step 5 - upload to youtube.** then upload that output file to youtube and voila, that should work. **step 6 - watch it on you vr device's youtube app.** go to youtube app in quest, and then you'll be able to see the video on your channel, and it'll be in vr180. **step 7 - if it's a public video, send me a link and i'll add it to the curation.** email me [email protected] with questions or add me on discord ([[send me questions]]) and then i'll add your video to the list. need an example file to watch to see what it'll look like? watch [this one on youtube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ReLWXMfx8dc) from john chu ![[Pasted image 20240130101904.png]] if you need to upload a FSBS or HSBS video to youtube from spatialify or "spatial camera"
