**step 1 - enable spatial filming** (takes 1-2 minutes, plus any time to update your iOS if you're not already on iOS 17.2 or later)
1. first, check that you have an iphone 15 pro or 15 pro max. you can check this in settings -> general -> about
2. next, check that you're on iOS 17.2 or later. you can check this in settings -> general -> about. if you're not, then update your iOS software.
3. next, enable spatial video recording in settings. go settings → camera → formats, scroll down, and enable spatial video capture

**step 2 - film a spatial video** (takes 1 minute)
1. lastly, follow the steps here https://support.apple.com/en-il/guide/iphone/iph6e3a6d4fe/ios to take a video (open camera, select video, tap the glasses icon, rotate your phone horizontal)

**step 3 - check if it worked**
* go to photos.app, go to your video. at the top left of the white bar, see if it shows "spatial" like the below screenshot

* you'll also see a 'spatial' album at the bottom of your photos.app 'albums' tab, so you can also go there and check that it shows in that folder

for best results:
* film in good lighting (but it still does work at night)
* have the person or thing you want to film about 3-8 feet away (1-3 meters)
